Fall has been great so far. I opened up my shop Kitchen Mint, been hanging out with my dogs, made lots of new friends, went to Berlin and saw both Godspeed You! Black Emperor and MONO(!), I landed a couple of graphic design gigs and bought vegan Dr Martens in Cherry red. The Perfect Colour! Now I’m ready for winter. Bring it on!

I love the whimsical animal world of Julia Pott. Her illustrations are a mix of naive, lustfull drawings and dark humour. She is not only a skilled illustrator she is also an incredible narrator. Her animated movies are luminous stories often exploring the unknown adventures of love, sadness and loss. Or as Julia Pott herself explains the origin of her stories, she employs awkward animated characters to act out her inner confusions.
I recently got notified by Flickr that I had uploaded 200 pictures to my account. I was pretty surprised because it didn’t feel like that many. I mean, I just started my account!
